Postby Rowena » Sun Sep 20, 2009 9:45 pm

I'm thinking about selling my 24-105mm f/4L lens....maybe......
I know there probably aren't a lot of girls on here looking for this sort of thing...but I'm just putting it out there :)
If you are interested at all, PM me
(it is about 12 months old and a beautiful general purpose lens, but I am thinking about getting a prime.....and apparently I cant have them all  )

:)
It is a fixed focal length lens.....so this lens is a zoom (from 24mm to 105mm) whereas a lot of 'portrait' lenses are fixed - so 50mm or 85mm. So if you wanted to zoom in closer, you actually have to walk closer with your feet!

probably the 50mm 1.2. The 85 is lovely on a full frame camera, but I have the 70-200 2.8 and love it so it sort of does my 85mm work anyway. I want something with a wide aperture between 35-70....so the 50...I think LOL....I change my mind every day but it is all theoretical unless I sell a lens....or a kidney....

LOL  . I'll let you know if I hear of anyone who needs an organ :P
I have recently bought the 50mm 1.4 and love it! Obviously my camera isn't full frame which doesn't make it the true 50 but it is still a sweet lens for what I need.
The 1.2 looks fabulous. I had a little drool over that one myself ;) . My next purchase needs to be a body upgrade (camera of course though the alternative is appealing too!). I also need a good wide angle to go with it...one day ;)
Hope you get to purchase yours soon!

well, I already bought one Ro. never mind, I got it second hand and in perfect condition. my next purchase (hopefully not too long away) is the 70-200 f2.8. Yay me. can't wait. :D
I am a task driven person and can't sit still ever. I live by the motto... why put off till tomorrow, something that could be done today. (yes I know every one's thinking about the verse. "be still and Know that I am God" I know, I know, gotta work on that.....

I have the 24-105 and I love it! It's my most used lens, and my 50mm 1.4

The next on my wish list is either the 24-70 2.8 or the 85mm, or maybe a fisheye - oh the decisions! LOL
